By now your baby has started playing that all time favorite game of throwing fetch - with you doing the fetching. Using the ‘pincher’ fingers are picking up everything and can probably bring the food to his/her mouth all on their own.
Baby is crawling or at least scooting. Really active and ready to go! Consider baby gates or a corral type area that allows for freedom in safety. Keep baby far away from stairs and doors. Check for tables or furniture that could be pulled down. Now’s a good time to make sure your furniture is anchored.
Mom you can feel a little bit more at ease now. You can pump and leave your baby with daddy for a bit without too much worry. He’s full of life, yes, but not feeling quite so frail as before. Your baby is chunky and sturdy and tough. Tell dad to use Happi Tummi when you're away to calm your baby.
Depending on the weight, it could be a good time to switch to a back carrier. This lets you keep your hands free to do your chores and take care of the big kids, but the baby is still happy and close to momma.
