Teething is probably in full force now and you’ll want to help baby find some relief. Wet a clean washcloth and throw in the freezer. Let baby gnaw on it when baby seems upset. Some babies get fevers and runny noses (and even diarrhea) from teething. Comfort your baby with Happi Tummi.
Remember these are just symptoms of this ugly stage of babyhood and they don’t need to be treated. As uncomfortable as they may be, we have to let them go through the process. This is a time you get to hold baby close and enjoy mommy hood. They grow fast so soak up all that loving.
Baby is probably sitting up alone for minutes at a time and will probably still topple every once in a while so keep baby on soft padded surfaces.
Baby could be crawling and scooting all over the place. Ask visitors to leave their shoes outside so baby can have the whole space to explore without getting dirty. If baby is bottle fed, you can start giving small amounts of water. Baby might like to hold a light sippy cup, or at least throw it for fun.
